DOUBLE-HEADERS, MIDWEEK FIXTURES & PITCH AVAILABILITY          UPDATED: 5.3.10

All clubs are advised that due to the recent severe weather conditions and sheer number of postponed matches, 'Double-Header' Fixtures will be commencing with immediate effect, and these will now be arranged for ALL clubs who have not yet played each other this season.
'Double-Header' fixtures must be played as two 60-minute matches (30 minutes each way) and not as one 90-minute match for six points. These are
to be played on the Home ground of the first-named team.
The Referee's Fee for a Double-Header is £48.00, to be paid to the Referee by the Home Team. The Away Team is responsible for 50% of the fee (i.e. £24.00) and should ensure they pay the Home Team accordingly.
The Home team is responsible for p
honing in the result of both matches.

Clubs are also advised that midweek fixtures will commence from the 6th April onwards on Tuesdays, Wednesday or Thursday evenings depending on pitch availability. Details of arrangements for midweek matches will appear here as soon as those fixtures are announced. Unfortunately, Enfield Council are not employing groundstaff to open the changing rooms at Enfield Playing Fields for midweek matches, so they will only be able to take place on Broxbourne Council pitches or privately-owned grounds. All Broxbourne Council pitches are currently due to finish on Sunday 2nd May, but Enfield Council will still allow matches to be played at Enfield Playing Fields until Sunday 9th May. We are hoping that the Football Association will allow the season to continue until Sunday 16th May, and that Enfield Council will keep the goalposts up at Enfield Playing Fields until Sunday 16th May if that is the case.
Please note that due to the backlog of fixtures, no clubs will be allowed to use their 'Release' date for the remainder of the season.

                               CUP FINAL DATES              UPDATED: 5.3.10

Dates and venues for all four League Cup Finals this season have now been finalised. All finals will be played at Broxbourne Borough F.C. on Wednesday evenings throughout April. (7.45.p.m. Kick-Offs).
Please note that due to the current fixture backlog, the date of the Junior Cup Final is now Thursday 15th April instead of Wednesday 31st March.

For full details of all League Cup Final dates, go to the Cup Draws page and click on the relevant competition.

                           ABANDONED MATCHES                 NEW: 5.3.10

Following a discussion at the League Management Committee Meeting on Thursday 4th March, it was agreed that the abandoned Premier Division match between I.M.L. and Spenny Rangers is to be replayed on a date to be arranged. The original match (on Sunday 21st February) was abandoned after 62 minutes due to a waterlogged pitch with the score at 0-0. The abandoned match between Upshire Reserves and Highway United in Division Three (played on Sunday 14th February) is still to be dealt with by the respective County Football Associations.
All clubs please note that Result Cards MUST still be sent in to Bob Cleary for abandoned matches. The details will be required for the records should the Management Committee's decision be that the result is to stand.

 LEAGUE CUP SEMI-FINALS

All clubs playing in League Cup Semi-Finals are advised that Assistant Referees appointed to those matches are to be paid £23.00 each, with both teams sharing the costs. Referees for Semi-Finals are paid £35.00 as normal, again with both teams sharing the costs.

 CUP RULE 12 TEAMSHEETS

Clubs are reminded of League Cup Rule 12, which states that every club playing in League Cup Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals or Finals MUST send a list of players from which their team will be selected to the opposing Club Secretary and the League Records Secretary (Denis Coventry) not less than seven days before the date of the match. Failure to do so will result in a Fine of not more than £25.00.
However, please note that if the game gets postponed, you do NOT need to send in another teamsheet for the date of the re-arrangement. If you wish to add players to the teamsheet for the re-arranged match, please e-mail the details to Denis Coventry.
Full details of Cup Rule 12 are on the Fixtures pages whenever League Cup Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals & Finals are due to be played.
If you have not received a Cup Rule 12 teamsheet by e-mail with your Fixtures, you can click here to download and print a PDF version.
Please note that the three 'Match Date' columns are for filling in the dates of League
Divisional matches played in by players and not League (or County) Cup matches played in. This is because League Cup Rule 2(b) actually states that players cannot play in a Semi-Final or Final unless they have played in three or more League Divisional matches during the season so far. It does not say League (Divisional) and/or League Cup matches.
The end column on the Cup Rule 12 form is to be filled in for players who have played in any Cup matches for another club during the season or for a team whose players have played in a Cup competition for their Reserve Team (or for their First Team if you are filling in the form for a Reserve Team).
Also, a number of clubs have been unable to fill in their Cup Rule 12 team-sheets properly in recent seasons because they do not keep a record of which players have played in their matches. All clubs are therefore advised that IT IS A FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION RULE THAT CLUBS MUST KEEP A RECORD OF THEIR PLAYERS' APPEARANCES FOR EACH MATCH PLAYED.

 PLAYER REGISTRATION DEADLINE

Clubs are advised that the deadline for player registrations & transfers for this season was the 1st March 2010. However, if any clubs are particularly struggling for players after that date, the League may be able to take that into consideration and allow a particular player to be registered (e.g. Goalkeeper). Please contact Denis Coventry (League Registration Secretary) if that is the case.

 NEW CLUBS FOR NEXT SEASON

Please note that the deadline for new clubs to join the League for next season was the 1st March 2010, although current member clubs wishing to enter a Reserve Team have until the end of March to apply.
If your club is interested in entering a team for next season,
please click here to download a PDF file which explains what you need to know (or write to Denis Coventry (League County Secretary)), and then click here to download another PDF file which consists of the actual application form.

 F.A. FULL-TIME WEBSITE

Just to remind clubs that from this season onwards, the League are using the F.A.'s Full-Time website facility in addition to the information given on this website. You will be able to find the following information from our Home Page on the Full-Time site:
REGISTERED PLAYERS...
To see a list of players that are eligible to play in any particular fixture, simply go to the Fixtures pages on this website and click on a team's name in the fixture list. This will take you to the relevant page on the Full-Time website where that team's registered and eligible players (and that of their opponents for that particular fixture) will be listed. (This only applies to League and League Cup Fixtures, not County Cups). Club Secretaries can check on these pages that their players have been registered in time, as confirmation from the League Registration Secretary may not always be received in the post before the date of the match. If the player is not listed on the Full-Time website, then he cannot play. Club Secretaries MUST inform League Registration Secretary Denis Coventry if any of their players' names are spelt incorrectly on the Full-Time website. This is very important, as it could result in accusations of unregistered players being played.
TEAM LINE-UPS...These are now being listed for every match from the information entered by Club Secretaries on their Result Cards. Simply click on the Home Page on our Full-Time site, click on a team's name in the League Tables, then click on the scoreline or the team's name on any of their listed results. Please allow a week or so for the information to be entered (by either League Result Card Secretary Bob Cleary or League Records Secretary Denis Coventry).
SUSPENDED PLAYERS...These are also now listed on the 'Full-Time' website underneath each Division's League Table.
TOP GOALSCORERS...Top Goalscorers in each Division for the current 2009-2010 season can now be found by clicking on the 'Stats' Tab on the Full-Time website, but please bear in mind that these are not updated until the Result Cards have been received in the post and the information has been collated. The goalscorers are not taken from what is phoned or e-mailed in on a Sunday afternoon for displaying on the Results Pages.
CURRENT FORM GUIDE...
By clicking on the red 'Table Detail' link at the bottom of each League Table on the Full-Time website, this page will appear which gives a detailed analysis of Home and Away Form. You can also use a 'Show At Date' facility on that page to display the League Table from a month ago (for example). The Predictor Tab allows you to predict a score for your team which will temporarily update the League Table, while the Recent Form Tab will display the League Table with WDLLDW (or whatever) next to each team's name. That Recent Form guide does not include League Cup matches though. Please also note that County Cup matches are not included on the Full-Time website at the present time.
As the season goes on, we will be making enhancements to the League website so that these links to the Full-Time website are visible from the appropriate pages. We hope you all enjoy this new technology and that it will benefit your clubs.
If you spot any anomalies between the information displayed on the League Website and that displayed on the Full-Time website (e.g. League Tables), please e-mail both Laurence Hughes (League Website Secretary) and Denis Coventry (League Records Secretary) so that we can make sure everything is synchronised correctly.
